YOUR FIRST VISIT!
Your first visit to our office is 100% free and can be expected to be one hour long! Once your first appointment is scheduled, you will receive an email from OrthoFi with new patient forms. We request that you fill these out before you come into the office so that we can have the necessary information prior to your appointment to make the most of your time with us.

Your Office Experience At VBO
Atmosphere
Our office environment is refreshing, fun, and relaxing with a positive energy. Our inviting waiting area features hot and iced coffees, tea, waters, TVs, and comfortable seating. We bake cookies fresh in house twice a day, don’t forget to grab yours next to the coffee bar!
T-shirts
You will get a t-shirt at your first appointment. If you outgrow your t-shirt, let us know and we will get you a new one!
Unlimited Sunglasses + Chapstick
With lights at the chairs and retractors that stretch your lips, we always want you to feel comfortable! Just ask for sunglasses and chapstick!
umbrellas
Forgot your umbrella on a rainy day? No problem! We have got you covered… literally. We will always have a basket of umbrellas out on rainy days for you to take and use!
Brushing station
Our toothbrush station is always open so you can brush your teeth when you arrive before each appointment.
Blankets
If you are ever cold in the office, let a staff member know and we will be happy to get you a blanket.
Wait Times + Availability
We will always try our best to be accommodating to your schedule and ensure the shortest possible wait times for your appointments. You will be in and out for every visit without feeling rushed.

Your Treatment Overview
1. Complete your New Patient Consult
Receive a swag bag, x-rays, photos, 3D digital scan, exam done by Dr. Nguyen, office tour and a financial quote.
2. Getting Braces On
You can expect this appointment to be one hour to an hour and a half long. You will get Dippin Dots, a bag with dental and orthodontic supplies and an orthodontic survival guide when you’re done.
3. Scheduled Appointments
Your appointments will be scheduled anywhere from 4-10 weeks apart, dependent on what you are needing done. If you need to schedule or change your appointment, call or text us at (757) 471-2900. We love texting!
4. Last Appointment Before Getting Braces Off
You will be given a retainer option sheet to select the retainer program you would like to be a part of. You will be able to discuss your results with Dr. Nguyen to ensure you are satisfied with the outcome of treatment.
5. Getting Braces Off
After your braces are taken off, we will take a 3D scan of your teeth so we can make your retainers, as well as take final x-rays and photos. Your new smile will be celebrated and you’ll be given a new swag bag to leave with!
6. Retainer Pick Up
You will need to come back to us again to pick up your retainers and molds!
7. Retainer Check Appointments
You will come to the office a few more times to make sure your retainer continues to fit properly and teeth have not shifted. Wear your retainers for life to keep that amazing VBO smile in place!
